Antonia Lofaso

Antonia's Lofaso invites you to explore her inner world through her cuisine. Her interest in food after moving from the suburban Long Island to the diverse cultural landscape of Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas coexisting in the same dish is what she believes in. All of her meals she draws a picture that is distinct and speaks to an ache for the old. Inspired by her heritage as an Italian-American, Lofaso established Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 which was immediately well received. Lofaso's interpretation of traditional Italian has been called the one of Los Angeles' most compelling Italian eateries. The customers describe Scopa as an indispensable neighbourhood staple, where Lofaso always provides food that is authentic and undeniably satiating. Lofaso was trained by renowned chefs to learn their refined techniques. However, she was not afraid to make extraordinary decisions to honor her gut instincts. She was in close contact with many celebrities and rose rapidly through the ranks in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Lofaso collaborated together with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar, the first bar to open situated in Studio City. Lofaso was able to find a place within Black Market as well as her partnerships. The creative spirit of Lofaso would be fostered through this collaboration. Black Market does not have a single direction, that's the intention. A meal could start with potatoes chips, peppers and dill, followed by Korean meatballs and wings. Antonia is the center in this assortment. Through her entire career, Lofaso has judged her accomplishment with her exceptional ability to comprehend her audience and remain true to her own personality. Her appearances on the Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars emphasized her ability to express herself outside the cooking environment. In the years since, she has continued her work in front of cameras as a judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge, as well as recurring appearances on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso joined forces together with Penguin Publishing to produce The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 recipes of easy, Delicious, Home Cooked Meals. In this book, she also discusses her experience as a mom and pupil in The French Culinary Institute. Lofaso states that her love in cooking is the primary factor behind her success. She continues to be in the know by keeping an eye on trends and fashion. Chefletics transforms the way chefs dress through the combination of style and functionality. What is important to Lofaso is sticking to your ideals. To achieve this intention she is launching Antonia Lofaso Catering, which is a more personalised method of providing customers with a distinctly personal experience.
