She was the captain of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams, who were winners in their respective teams competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she won gold medals in floor and team competitions in addition to the bronze medal on the balance beam, which made her the most recognized American gymnast of the Games. She was awarded an Olympic gold medal for team competitions at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas, her teammate, also was awarded gold. Raisman took home silver medals for the individual all-around, and floor exercise. Raisman also took home silver medals for the individual all-around as well as for floor exercise. She is also a two time national champion in floor exercises (2012 and 2015) and the national champion in balance beam in 2012. She is also five times medalist in the all-around national championships (silver, bronze, 2010 2011, 2012 and 2012 and). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
